320 acre Telluride in Tom Cruise, Colorado ranch style estate, sold for its full asking price of $ 39.5 million, just two months after it hit the market. Listing agent Eric Lavey of LIV Sotheby’s International Realty, who worked with Dan Dockray on the case, recounts the the Wall Street newspaper that the property was in fact under contract within the first week of its arrival on the market.
Cruise spent many years building the isolated estate surrounded by the Colorado mountains, completing much of his work at home in 1994, according to a report by Sotheby’s from 2014. But according to agents Lavey and Dockray, this was not Cruise’s first attempt to sell the property. Both say WSJ which Cruise was selling several years ago for an estimated $ 59 million. However, the list was never made public, “I’m not sure [Cruise] was still ready to sell it, âLavey told WSJ.
The seven bedroom, nine bathroom log cabin style home is nestled in the beauty of nature. In addition to its magnificent backdrop, it has plenty of amenities, including a three-room living room with stunning views of the snow-capped mountains and the beautiful greenery outside. Privacy is a key element in the design of this area which is why the property is only accessible via a 1 mile driveway from a gated entrance.
The listing also says the house has two fireplaces, a fitness center, patio, and a three-car garage. Although the house is secluded, it is only a 12 minute drive to Telluride town center–well known for its ski resorts and golf courses. See the list here.
