Brandywine and Boston Mills ski resorts will be equipped with new chairlifts for the 2022-2023 season

PENINSULA, Ohio – Brandywine and Boston Mills ski resorts are expected to have new four-person chairlifts, but not before the 2022-2023 ski season.

Local investment has been included in a Vail’s biggest ad Resorts, which said it will spend $ 320 million next season on 14 properties.

Boston Mills, located in Boston Township of Summit County, will get a new four-seater chairlift to replace an existing two-seater chairlift. Brandywine, in Sagamore Hills Township, will also benefit from a new four-person elevator, which will replace a triple elevator.

Summit County Parks, as well as Alpine Valley in Geauga County and Mad River Mountain near Zanesfield, were purchased by Vail in 2019. The company owns 34 resorts in North America, plus three in Australia.

The company said the new chairlifts are expected to reduce wait times, increase climb capacity, and improve the overall customer experience.

Vail earlier this week announced new health and safety rules for the upcoming ski season, including a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for customers 12 and older who want to eat at indoor restaurants in parks.
