Action movie stars … they really are like us! Harrison Ford was in Sicily to film the last Indiana Jones payment when he lost his credit card on Thursday. Fortunately, a Good Samaritan spotted it and returned it to authorities, reuniting the Oscar nominee with his missing item, CNN reported.
A German tourist on vacation on the Italian island spotted the lost credit card in Mondello, a seaside town near Palermo. Seeing the famous actor’s name engraved on the black card, the honest traveler brought it to the local police.
This sent Mondello authorities on a scavenger hunt, to determine where the actor stayed during his low-key visit to preserve his privacy. But they quickly figured it out and found the 79-year-old actor.
“When the policeman and two policemen showed him and returned his things, the actor smiled, relieved of all the damage avoided and happy to know a place as beautiful as it is honest,” police said in a statement. “The meeting with the police was sealed by a photo which will be jealously guarded by all the protagonists of the story.”

Ford is reportedly in town to shoot scenes for the fifth film in the action series – currently referred to simply as “Indiana Jones 5” – which will be released on July 29, 2022. Production began earlier this year in the UK at Pinewood Studios near from London Heathrow. , as well as on other sites in England. At the end of June, Ford injured his shoulder during a fight scene rehearsal, and the schedule was adjusted to allow for his recovery, Deadline reported at the time.
