Do you just want to grab your skis or snowboard and hit the slopes? It’s coming sooner than you might think, and we’re done when Alberta’s best ski resorts are slated to open for the 2021/22 season.
From the majestic Rockies to the pleasant hills and close to the two largest cities in the province, start pulling out those winter jackets, mittens and socks, everyone.
We also suggest that you check the protocols of most of the hills as many participate in the restriction exemption program.
According to them website, Marmot Basin, just outside Jasper, has set the opening date for November 12th.

This popular ski resort, just outside of Banff, has a tentative opening date of November 5, with hours of operation posted closer to opening day.

Nestled in the Westcastle Valley in southwestern Alberta, Castle Mountain Resort has a tentative opening date of December 3.

Village of the Sun
Sunshine Village, outside of Banff, has set a tentative opening date of November 11. It is also offering 250 new parking spaces this season, which is good news for everyone.

According to its website, Rabbit Hill has a scheduled opening date of December 7. It is one of the last ski resorts to open this season.

Snow Valley in Edmonton is targeting an opening date in mid-November, according to its website.

According to its website, the Sunridge ski area just outside Sherwood Park is aiming for an opening date in mid-November.
