The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have shared a sweet set of photos to mark Prince William’s 40th birthday – see them here
Prince William will have been woken up by hundreds of birthday messages from royal fans, friends and family as he turned 40 on Tuesday.
And one of the first royal couples to wish William a happy birthday was his father Prince Charles and his stepmother Camilla.

A series of cute photos have been shared on the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall’s official social media accounts, starting with a black and white throwback to the day a newborn baby William left hospital in 1982 .

Another personal snap was of Charles and William on a chairlift together as they enjoyed a skiing holiday, with the young Prince sporting a colorful ski jacket and beanie.

Other family photos showed the couple embracing and enjoying the great outdoors, while one snap also featured William’s first-born Prince George attending his first Trooping the Color in 2015.

“Wishing the Duke of Cambridge a very happy 40th birthday! Roll through the decades!” read the caption on Charles and Camilla’s Instagram account.
Fans were quick to send their best wishes to the birthday boy, with many sharing their admiration for the future king. “Happy fortieth, Prince William! The boy who proved to be one of the monarchy’s greatest assets! Long live the future king!” a subscriber replied.

“Happy Birthday Prince William how proud your family must be of you we all are. Have a great day xxxx,” another wrote. “Happy 40th birthday, he brings you so much honor,” another commented.

Kensington Palace marked William’s 40th birthday in publish three unpublished photos of the duke helping to sell The big problem in the streets of London. William joined salesman Dave Martin, 60, to sell copies of the magazine to raise awareness about homelessness – an issue close to his heart.
The royal also wrote an exclusive article for the magazine, sharing: “I was 11 when I first visited a homeless shelter with my mum, who in her own inimitable style was determined to shed light on an overlooked and misunderstood issue.”

He continued, “I wanted to experience the other side and see what it was like to be a Big problem seller. My time was really eye-opening. I have always believed in using my platform to help tell these stories and bring attention and action to those who are struggling.
“I plan to do this now that I’m 40, even more than in the past. So, for my part, I pledge to continue to do what I can to shine the spotlight on this solvable problem not only today today, but in the months and years to come.
“And in the years to come, I hope to bring George, Charlotte and Louis to see the fantastic organizations doing inspiring work to support those who need it most – just like my mum did for me.”
